Has the Vetiver System made a difference in your life, your community, or on your land? We’re collecting powerful stories from around the globe to show the world the incredible impact of Vetiver Systems.

Your experience is a vital part of our shared mission. By sharing it, you can help us secure the resources to expand this life-changing work to more communities in need.

We’re looking for short, simple stories, photos, and videos that show the power of Vetiver.

Here’s what we need:

• The Problem: What challenges did you face before Vetiver? (e.g., erosion, flooding, poor soil)
• The Action: How was Vetiver introduced and what did you do?
• The Result: What changes did you see? (e.g., improved crops, better water, more income)
• Your Voice: A few words from you, a family member, or a community leader on what Vetiver means to you.

How to Share Your Vetiver Success with the World

We want to hear about how the Vetiver System has improved your life and land. Think of your story in three parts:

Before Vetiver → What We Did → After Vetiver.

Key Questions to Answer:

• Who: Your name, and the name of your farmer or community group.
• Where: Your Village, Town, District,  State, and country.
• Before Vetiver: What problems were you facing on your farm or in your community?
• What We Did: How did you learn about Vetiver, and who was involved in the project?
• After Vetiver: What has changed? Please share any clear differences you can see or numbers you can measure (e.g., increase in crop yield, reduced erosion).
• Your Story: What do you, your family, or other community members say about the difference Vetiver has made? One or two short quotes are perfect!
• Lessons Learned: What advice would you give to others who are thinking about using Vetiver?

Photos & Video (Highly Encouraged!):

• Photos: Send us pictures that show the land before and after Vetiver, and people working with the vetiver hedges. A close-up of the roots or plants is great, too!
• Video: A short video (1-3 minutes) recorded on a cellphone is perfect. Film it horizontally. Let a farmer or community member speak in their own words and their own language. We’ll handle the translation.

The best stories submitted before October 1, 2025 will be used to support a Grant Proposal that TVNI is developing to set up online training in support of getting Vetiver Systems (VS) out and into the hands of more farmers, households and communities around the world, it is in your hands to help us building a better world, our network and our Vetiver Legacy.
